Claire Huxtable did not play. AT ALL!!!
Smart, beautiful, perceptive, articulate, and tough.
Although she was a very successful lawyer, the fact that she was just as tough, if not tougher, than Cliff, was a very familiar stroke to people of color who watched the show.
