David Carradine... gone
My brother was a huge Kung Fu fan.
Myself - I could never get into it.
But I sure as hell got into Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2. One of the most bloody, satisfying guilty pleasure flicks ever created. Personality-wise, Tarantino is insufferable; but he sure as hell nailed these flicks. The @$$-kicking women stole the show, but the mellow, yet maniacal performances from both Michael Madsen and David Carradine served as nice contrasts.
In the coming days, much will be made of Carradine's death, although I suspect that the television media outlets will stop short in discussing it if it turns out that Carradine died while performing auto erotic asphyxiation; however, I will choose to remember Bill's seated last stand with Beatrix Kiddo - one of the most inventive showdowns I've seen in a long time.
Condolences to his family.
