Rashida Jones better make this year's People's Most Beautiful

Just came from I Love You, Man, - another man-child coming of age comedy which, per usual, delivered a great balance of laughs and heart and I thought several things. First, this movie could serves as a nice antidote to those who went to and was profoundly disappointed by such films as Bride Wars that treat grooms as an afterthought. Along the same lines, comedies, specifically, romantic comedies, need to revisit classic romantic screwball comedies and reimplement the concept of a strong, charismatic male equal to the equation (in fact, introduce some strength and charisma to the female lead character as well, because the neurotic, 'Annie Hall' infiltration of the last 10 years bites, big time).

Which brings me to Rashida Jones -- how beautiful is she?!! Make no mistake, Jones was not relegated to mere arm candy in this film, not did she assume the Mae Busch shrill bitch fiancee-wife persona, coming between her fiance and his friend. Jones' Zooey was actually a loving, smart, self-assured, and decidedly human woman who had a life beyond her relationship with Paul Rudd's Peter. With that said, she looked absolutely gorgeous in this film. Gorgeous skin, fabulously expressive face, even the freckles on her nose were enviable.

People Magazine's Most Beautiful issue is due out within the next few months, and naturally, Brad, Angelina, Clooney, and the usual suspects will make the list, but it will be a crime if Rashida doesn't make the list this year. Face it, People has used this issue to kiss PR flacks and their clients butts for years (Rumour Willis in '08? Really?!!), and we should expect Jennifer Aniston to make the list with the 'she's 40 and fabulous, with two consecutive box-office successes' pantload propoganda, since her next movie, Management, will be out within the same timeframe as the Most Beautiful issue. To relieve some of the stink, People needs to include Rashida on the list. Hell, she's an offspring of two celebs, she worked in television for years, dated a dude that a lot of women would give their eyeteeth to date, and said dude was immediately linked to a movie chick after their break-up. Unlike a certain someone, Rashida doesn't need to use the breakup to build career momentum.

She's funny, beautiful, and charismatic; she belongs in the Most Beautiful issue. And please... PUT HER IN MORE MOVIES!!!!!
